We couldn&#8217;t come up with anything at the meeting, but the next day I found <a href=\"http:\/\/bugzilla.gnome.org\/show_bug.cgi?id=128495#c20\">an unofficial plugin<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/projects.gnome.org\/rhythmbox\/\">Rhythmbox<\/a> that would make it remember its last song and position at shutdown, and restore them when it started up. The script is written in Python, and works with no configuration.
